i will always be vague, pretentious poetry

and you think smoking is cool

together we are music snobbery

and skipping class ("forget school").

you are brutally kind honesty

and i hide behind a smile

but you have seen the cracks in me

and we've cried to each other a while.

i am tied to your soul,

a balloon to a brick,

and though sometimes you float off,

i know you get homesick

no matter how far i roam,

you are still my home,

we will always come back

(some day).
